Stantec appoints new asset management principal consultants

Stantec has appointed Ed O’Brien and Martin Li as principal consultants responsible for providing asset management services across its UK & Ireland water, transport and energy & resources businesses.

Ed is a highly accomplished asset management, business improvement and operations leader with experience developed over 19 years within the water industry, including regulatory reporting, investment planning, asset management, performance improvement and operational management of water infrastructure.

With a reputation for delivering outstanding results and implementing sustainable change through strong leadership and effective development of successful teams, Ed is an adept influencer and stakeholder manager at all levels.

On his appointment, Ed said: “I am looking forward to working with our clients and Stantec project teams to provide strategic, resilient, innovative and sustainable systems-based solutions. It’s an exciting time to join Stantec as it continues to grow, secure opportunities and expand its asset management team.”

Martin brings a wealth of expertise, providing both asset management services and transformational change programmes for clients over his industry career. He has implemented long-term investment strategies using holistic approaches, using core asset management techniques and financial analysis to drive client desired outcomes.

Within his new role, Martin will develop and deliver innovative system-based asset management solutions throughout the entire asset lifecycle, to enable clients to solve their most complex problems and provide effective and efficient outcomes. Martin also brings an enhanced water asset management capability offering to clients with expertise in price review, business planning and strategy.

On his appointment, Martin said: “I am looking forward to working with Stantec’s clients to identify wider opportunities, reduce risk and improve effectiveness and efficiency through business improvement.”
