CMA clears acquisition of Arran Isle by ASSA ABLOY

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has investigated and cleared the anticipated acquisition of Arran Isle by ASSA ABLOY.

The agreement to sell Arran Isle was made in September 2021 and the deal was expected to complete by the end of the year but in February 2022 the CMA announced the launch of its merger inquiry.

Arran Isle has a large portfolio of companies within the architectural and fenestration markets, including Carlisle Brass, Eurolite, Locks & Hardware and Mila.

Arran Isle had already divested its US operations to Patrick Industries in late 2018.
