Pennon Group announces appointment of two new Non-Executive Directors

Pennon Group plc has announced the appointment of two new Non-Executive Directors to the Board of Pennon Group plc, South West Water Ltd and Bristol Water plc.

Loraine Woodhouse and Dorothy Burwell will join the Board effective 1st December 2022. Both Loraine and Dorothy will also become members of the Board’s Committees.

The company stated that their appointments support building internal succession ahead of the planned departure of Neil Cooper, Senior Independent Director and Audit Chair, who will step down in 2023.

“On behalf of the Board, I am delighted to welcome Loraine and Dorothy to Pennon.  They are both highly accomplished individuals with broad experience to complement our Board.”

At the date of this announcement, Loraine Woodhouse is a Non-Executive Director of The Restaurant Group plc, and is also Non-Executive Director & Chair of the Audit Committee at British Land Company plc.  Dorothy Burwell is a Partner and Global Partnership Board Member of FGS Global, a Non-Executive Director of Post Holdings, Inc. and a Trustee of the charity the Consumers’ Association.
