Binnies has been awarded a place on Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water’s (DCWW) AMP8 Capital Design and Build (D&B) Framework.

Binnies, part of the RSK Group is a global whole life-cycle engineering and construction company specialising in the water and environmental sectors providing multi-disciplinary engineering, environmental, construction, process, commissioning and asset management services.

During AMP8 Binnies will work closely with DCWW’s Capable Owner structure to deliver essential infrastructure and treatment projects. This will involve early contractor involvement (ECI) during the feasibility and optioneering phases to ensure the solutions selected are both cost-effective and buildable, with a strong focus on delivering schemes on time and within budget that meet the needs and objectives of DCWW and its customers and communities.

The AMP8 programme represents a significant step forward for DCWW, with a major focus on sustainability, biodiversity, and reducing carbon emissions in line with the organisation’s 2040 carbon reduction targets and the objectives outlined in The Wellbeing of Future Generations Act and the Environment (Wales) Act. Binnies said it will play a key role in helping DCWW meet key objectives through innovation in project delivery and providing low carbon and nature-based solutions that enhance biodiversity and reduce environmental impacts.

Commenting on the framework win, Steve Swift, Binnies Director of Delivery said:

“Binnies will collaborate with Welsh Water’s ECS Partners, Major Framework Contractors, and other supply chain members to deliver long-term, value-for-money solutions that align with DCWW’s key investment plan objectives.
