GF Piping Systems extends its measurement and control portfolio with the 288X Conductivity/Resistivity Sensors

GF Piping Systems has extended it measurement and control portfolio with the launch of the 288X Conductivity/Resistivity Sensors. The Swiss flow solutions provider designed the new sensors to increase flexibility, precision, and durability while reducing maintenance costs. Updates include extensive material options as well as additional functionality.

As production processes become more complex and guidelines more stringent, operators in sectors such as the chemical process industry require technical solutions that ensure the highest possible quality. Building on the previous sensor offerings by GF Piping Systems, the 288X series of conductivity and resistivity sensors introduces a number of improvements to meet these demands.

Throughout the development of the 288X range, GF Piping Systems put an emphasis on modularity. The process connections and electrodes therefore come in a variety of materials to meet the specific requirements of the customer. The configurable process connections are available in Polypropylene (PP), CPVC, PVDF, and Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK) and can be adapted to any piping system, while the electrodes come standard in stainless steel with options available in titanium or Hastelloy-C. As a result, the 288X range ensures a durable and reliable performance in a wide range of applications, from high purity upstream processes to effluents in downstream processes.

Other improvements include an updated sensor design featuring dual-threaded process connections that are available with NPT or ISO threads for faster installation. This provides additional installation versatility in submersible and in-line applications. When coupled with transmitters such as the 9900 and 9950 by GF Piping Systems, the sensors offer enhanced EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) performance. By minimizing interference, these transmitters improve sensor performance and reduce process interruptions. For customers familiar with the company’s conductivity sensors, the 288X models also serve as a simple drop-in replacement.

Juan Benitez, Global Product Manager at GF Piping Systems, comments on the launch:

“Rising quality requirements and the digitalization of production processes are two factors that drive our sensor development. The 288X range continues our legacy of configurable and customizable plastic piping solutions by enabling customers to tailor conductivity and resistivity sensors to their specific needs. We believe that this leads to an ideal result for the end customer: Flexibility, precision, durability, as well as cost-effectiveness.”

GF Piping Systems offers a complete portfolio of measurement and control solutions consisting of sensors, transmitters, and accessories for applications that require flow measurement, liquid analysis, level detection and control, as well as temperature and pressure measurement. To ensure the highest accuracy, sensors are extensively tested prior to delivery and come with a test certificate. Optimal process performance is additionally bolstered by GF Piping Systems’ Specialized Solutions program that supports customers from the planning and engineering phase all the way to the installation.
