Bruton Knowles expands in the North East with Newcastle Hub and major appointment

National Chartered Surveyor firm, Bruton Knowles is consolidating its presence in the North East by opening its fifteenth UK hub in Newcastle.

Alongside the new opening, is news of a major new appointment: Donna Alderson joins the firm as Associate, as the business continues its expansion into the North East of England due to the significant growth of its National Valuation Team.

The hub, located at Cobalt Business Park in Newcastle, provides the perfect base for Bruton Knowles’ staff to deliver its services to its customers in the region, alongside an enhanced offering as a result of the new location.

The Newcastle opening forms an integral part of Bruton Knowles’ strategy to extend its growing reach across the UK, particularly in sectors like utilities, infrastructure and, in this case, valuation services – following the 40% growth the National Valuation Team has experienced over the last 12 months.

Ian Pitt, Head of the National Valuation Team, said:

“Over the last year we have seen a huge amount of growth in the National Valuation Team across the country, so this next step was to open a hub in the North East of England, to help us extend our services to customers in the region.

“In appointing Donna as our new Associate, installing Nicholas Broadway as our head of hub in Newcastle and the hub hosting our Bids Manager Samantha Mitchell, our clients should look forward to receiving an even better service from our team.”

Donna brings 17 and a half years of experience to Bruton Knowles, having worked within both the public and private sector, at Newcastle City Council and firms such as Edisons and BNP Paribas.

Donna said of her appointment:

“Valuation work has been the main passion I’ve had throughout my career, and it’s where I feel I really excel. It was clear to me that Bruton Knowles was serious about growing and enhancing its services in the North East, which made it a quick decision for me to come and join their National Valuation Team.

“With my extensive experience and connections in the Newcastle and wider North East market, I’m looking forward to helping Bruton Knowles expand further in the region, bringing in new clients, while continuing to deliver the quality service level of service existing Bruton Knowles clients have become accustomed to.”

Managing Partner of Bruton Knowles, James Bailey, added:

“The opening of our Newcastle hub is the next phase of the Bruton Knowles growth strategy, and makes it fifteen hubs in total.

“We are looking at other regions to continue our expansion, and ways in which we can help service our existing clients, as well as deliver for prospective clients, too.

“Our growth strategy is two-pronged, and with the appointment of Donna, we are adding a great deal of experience to our already record-breaking team. We are keen to continue our growth in our National Teams, with appointments that make most sense for the firm, across the UK.”
