Abloy UK appoints new market development manager for the water sector

Abloy UK has further strengthened its team with the appointment of Rob Hodge, who joins the company as market development manager for the water sector.

Rob brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked in a range of customer facing sales and development positions across the security and engineering sectors. His background includes roles in UK business development, regional sales management and national account management, with a focus on access control, security technologies and engineered solutions.

Over the last decade, Rob has built a complete understanding of the security industry, including product standards, site certification and the specific challenges associated with protecting critical national infrastructure. His practical knowledge of both the supply chain and end user environments will enable him to offer extensive insight and support.

In his new role, Rob will be responsible for managing relationships with water companies across the UK, supporting with account management, project delivery and new business development basis. He will be working with some of the largest water suppliers in the country, helping them enhance their security frameworks through Abloy’s advanced electromechanical solutions.

Rob will be focussing on CLIQ and PROTEC2 CLIQ solutions, which combine mechanical and electronic elements. His aim is to guide customers in transitioning from traditional mechanical systems to future proofed electromechanical access control, helping to enhance security and operational efficiency across large, complex sites.

Rob said: “I’m excited to join the knowledgeable team at Abloy, and my focus will be on maintaining strong relationships with existing water sector clients while identifying opportunities to grow our presence across both current and new sites. Technology is evolving quickly and we’re in a strong position to help our customers meet the increasing demands of the industry.”
