Sarah has over 20 years’ experience spanning corporate strategy, stakeholder engagement, and investor relations in regulated industries — water sector, infrastructure, and financial services.

She previously served on the Executive Committee at Aberdeen Plc, where she led corporate affairs, sustainability, and investor relations during a period of transformation and repositioning.

In her new executive role, Sarah will lead Pennon’s strategy, regulatory and external affairs, and investor relations functions—helping to shape the Group’s direction and voice amid the most significant re-examination of the water sector in a generation. She will report to CEO Susan Davy as a member of Pennon’s Executive Management Team.

Susan Davy, Chief Executive Officer, Pennon Group, said: “We’re delighted Sarah is re-joining Pennon in this pivotal role. She brings a rare combination of sector knowledge, strategic insight and experience across a range of regulated industries. As the water sector evolves in response to the Cunliffe Review and rising public expectations, Sarah will be instrumental in helping us lead the way.”

Sarah Heald said: “I’m delighted to return to Pennon at such a defining moment for the sector. The Cunliffe Review presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reshape how we plan, regulate and deliver for customers and the environment—and I’m excited to be part of that journey with a business I know and believe in. I look forward to working with Susan and the team as we ensure Pennon plays a leading role in what comes next.”
