Galliford Try selected to provide additional capacity to Northumbrian Water

Galliford Try, one of the UK’s leading construction groups, has announced that its Environment business has been successfully selected as the preferred contractor to support key client Northumbrian Water with additional treatment capacity for the remainder of the AMP7.

Northumbrian Water, selected Galliford Try from its Runway 3 Capital Construction Works framework, to provide additional capacity for water and wastewater treatment projects. The new arrangement will allow Galliford Try to work alongside Northumbrian Water’s existing capital supply chain to optimise delivery through batching and continuity, with integrated design and construct frameworks at the core.

Steve Slessor, Managing Director for Galliford Try’s Environment business, said: “This success represents a significant breakthrough for us as we build on our capability of water asset optimisation. Our expertise and collaborative approach we have shown delivering for Northumbrian Water over the last year has paid off, allowing us to build this strong long-term relationship. We look forward to working with them as we continue to consolidate our position as the leading contractor of sustainable solutions to the sector.”
