Competition and Markets Authority clears anticipated acquisition by Severn Trent Plc of Andigestion Limited

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has cleared the anticipated acquisition by Severn Trent Plc (through its subsidiary Severn Trent Green Power Limited) of Andigestion Limited.

The CMA launched the investigation in June 2023 to ensure the anticipated acquisition would not lead to a lessening of competition within the market.

Andigestion Limited was established in 2004 to develop and commercialise anaerobic digestion as a viable waste-treatment technology and is part of the Summerleaze Group, a leading investor and innovator in the renewable energy sector.
