Lantra enables sustainability in the land-based and environment sector, reports Sky Digital

Lantra is playing its part in supporting a skilled workforce to meet the twin challenges of food security and climate change.

As part of a collaborative project, Lantra, along with other organisations including Ainscough Crane Hire and the International Powered Access Federation, have worked with Collaborative Media and Sky Digital to produce a programme about what each of the organisations is doing to embed sustainability into their business operations.

Highlighting Lantra’s business commitments to sustainability, including plans to reduce their head office emissions, Lantra is also uniquely placed as a leading national training and awarding body to support the land-based and environment sector to adopt more sustainable practices.

Acknowledging the collective effort needed to achieve Net Zero across the land-based and environment sector, Lantra’s Director of External Relations, Corrina Urquhart, commented: “As we are all aware, the global climate is changing and more action is needed from all of us to help prevent, and mitigate, the impacts of climate change.

“I’m proud to lead the work Lantra is doing on sustainability, from reducing our office emissions to ensuring our training offer covers fossil-fuel alternative equipment. A collective effort is needed, and Lantra is actively preparing to support the sector adopt more sustainable business practices.”

Over the coming months, Lantra will be reviewing the training needs from across the land-based and environment sector and ensuring they support the needs of the industry in the sustainability journey that lies ahead.
