Andy Willicott steps down as MD of Cambridge Water and South Staffs Water

South Staffordshire Plc has announced that Andy Willicott will shortly step down from his role as Managing Director of Group businesses Cambridge Water and South Staffs Water to pursue external opportunities, and will leave the Group before the end of the year.

The company said that whilst a recruitment process is carried out to appoint a new Managing Director, Charley Maher, Group CEO at South Staffordshire Plc, will assume responsibilities and continue to support the existing leadership team with both current priorities and future plans.

In a joint statement, Charley Maher, Group CEO at South Staffordshire Plc, and Lord Chris Smith, Chair of the Board at South Staffordshire Water said:

“On behalf of the Board, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Andy for his contributions to the business and Group over the past four and a half years, and to wish him all the best for the future. Our focus remains firmly on our overall performance and delivering a great service for our customers now and in the future.

“As we now look forward to the new business plan period (AMP) in the water sector (2025 – 2030), we remain both excited and optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead, and look forward to working alongside our professional and trusted South Staffs Water team to deliver our ambitious plan.”
