Industry specialist joins Polypipe Building Services as new UK Sales Director

Polypipe Building Services announces that Dan Martindale has joined as UK Sales Director. Having begun his career as an engineer, Dan has worked in a number of senior sales positions including most recently with a major piping systems manufacturer.

His experience spans a variety of construction industry segments from heating and hot water to plant and prefabrication.

Martindale comments: “I’ve been dealing with a similar customer base to Polypipe Building Services (PBS) for years in terms of merchants, distributors, and partners, and I was attracted to PBS because I’m excited to see the direction the business is travelling in and the people culture within it.

“I’m extremely proud to join a company with the heritage and forward vision of PBS and the broader Genuit group. The construction industry is undergoing a period of significant change, and it is crucial that we are playing a full role in supporting customers through this – including those in specialist sectors such as healthcare, education and hospitality.

“We certainly have the product range and expertise to do just that, and so the focus of my team will be on how we best serve customers in this ‘new normal’. We’ll be looking to get back out on the road, meeting people in person to discuss their challenges and how our Terrain and MecFlow products and Advantage service can help.”

Martindale has worked closely with outgoing sales director Tania Perk to ensure a smooth transition. He continues: “Tania has done a fantastic job of helping to build the PBS business to where it is today, and I’m privileged to have such a fantastic base to work from. I’m looking forward to building on that positive work as the culture here is really strong, so it’s all about talking to our customers to understand how we can bring even greater value to them.”
