A new solution to water leaks

Live leak sealing specialists, Seal Team Systems, has been successfully sealing live steam and chemical leaks in the UK since 2005.

The company is most commonly known for sealing high pressure steam mains, cyanide, acetone, boiler feed water on valve bonnets, flange joints, and gland packings in the steam and chemical industry with no shut downs required.

However, to utilise their live leak sealing technique in the water industry the company needed to develop an entirely new approach in order to seal live water mains leaks.

After trialling multiple combinations of materials, the company has now successfully developed a new injectable compound that is WRAS approved, meets the DWI standard, and seals live water leaks. The compound is injected live, into the gap of the gland packing, flange joint, valve bonnet or clamp where the joint has failed without the need for any type of shut down.
