AtkinsRéalis welcomes National Apprenticeship Week by offering 154 new apprentice roles in 2025 throughout the UK

AtkinsRéalis is welcoming the beginning of National Apprenticeship Week (10 to 16 February) with the engineering services and nuclear company offering 154 new apprentice roles in 2025 throughout the UK.

AtkinsRéalis has over 20 different apprenticeships available between level 3 and 7 across a range of disciplines, such as engineering, surveying, project management and digital.

Mike McNicholas, Managing Director – Infrastructure, AtkinsRéalis UK & Ireland, said:

“Apprentices at AtkinsRéalis can make their mark on the world by doing meaningful work contributing to vital infrastructure projects through development opportunities across a range of sectors. Our apprentices better connect communities through new transport links, advance clean energy via nuclear power, and develop sustainable water management solutions, to name just a few.

“We launched our apprenticeship programme around a decade ago and have seen apprentice numbers grow to more than 600, forming an important part of our 14,000-strong UK and Ireland workforce with many going on to senior positions in the business.

The evolving nature of what it means to work in engineering is reflected in our apprentice programme: in 2019, nearly 70 per cent of our apprentices were on an engineering apprenticeship but it’s now less than 50 per cent due to demand for new specialties like cyber security and information management.

“Our ideal candidates are adaptable, collaborative individuals who can navigate complex challenges and are passionate about the positive impact of sustainable and resilient infrastructure and the role they can play in delivering it.”

Roles are open now and close on Thursday 20th February 2025. The typical start date is late August to early September. Applications can be made here: https://careers.atkinsrealis.com/uk-early-careers/apprenticeships
